Unless stated otherwise, items listed for sale on De Louvois are offered by third-party sellers, and orders are fulfilled by them.
You can search for products using keywords or browse shops and categories.

Given the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies and the fact that blockchain transactions fees can fluctuate significantly, and because miscommunications and mishaps can occur, it is always advisable to contact sellers before placing orders to prevent misunderstandings leading to potentially expensive TX refund fees and other inconveniences.

This is why we've implemented a messaging system to facilitate communication between Buyers and Sellers.
If necessary, we can act as an intermediary when mandated by both parties : you may join us directly through Live Chat by clicking the Bell icon in the lower left corner.

Sellers have the choice to publish two different types of listings on De Louvois : "Buy Now" and "On Demand". Each has its own specificities.

• Buy Now Listings (image 1)
Items listed as "Buy Now" can be directly added to your Cart and purchased immediately.
It is still advisable to contact the seller to confirm item availability to avoid potentially costly refund TX fees (blockchain transactions fees can fluctuate significantly).

Ex ; digital and physical artworks, luxury watches, fashion items and so on.

• On Demand Listings (image 2)
These listings requires you to initiate contact with the seller via our Messaging system to confirm logistic details and / or negotiate terms.
Once an agreement is made, the seller will provide you with a Custom Invoice.

Think of Custom Invoices as placeholder products that enables you to add negotiated deals to your Cart, and proceed with the purchase as you would with any "Buy Now" item.

Ex ; real estate, cars, unique or customizable pieces, as well as items marked as "Best Offer or "Price on Request".

3 - Contacting the seller

You can reach out to a seller directly from Product Pages using the "Contact" button.
Additionally, Shop Pages and Public Profiles feature "Contact" buttons as well.

Please note that all communication must occur within our platform to ensure our ability to assist in resolving any potential issues.

• Receiving a Custom Invoice (image 2)
In this example, we are requesting a custom invoice for an item, while inquiring about shipping costs.
The seller quickly confirmed availability and sent an invoice link which you can click to add the item to your cart.

After finding an item you love and adding it to your cart, let's move on to the next step in this guide : making a payment for your order.

Paying for an order

In our previous section, 'Finding something you love - Section 3', we explained the process for both 'Buy Now' and 'On Demand' listings. Regardless of your choice, you'll be directed to our 'Checkout' page to select a cryptocurrency payment method that suits your needs.

**Disclaimer:** Our platform is designed for users with a good understanding of cryptocurrencies. Please be aware that we cannot recover funds sent to incorrect addresses or blockchains, and you should be mindful of fluctuating transaction fees.

The cryptocurrency landscape is ever-changing, including its regulatory aspects. This sometimes necessitates changing our third-party conversion services to balance privacy and usability. We've discontinued partnerships with providers that don't align with our commitment to privacy and ease of use, such as those delisting privacy coins or enforcing stringent KYC rules.

For stability and to minimize transaction fees, we recommend using USDC Stablecoins. Alternatively, you can use third-party services to pay with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Monero, which will be converted to USDC during checkout for an additional fee determined by the chosen service. All refunds are processed exclusively in USDC.

1 - Choosing your checkout method

Once you have added an item or an invoice to your ' Shopping Bag' , just click on the icon and select Checkout.
Remember, you can only order item(s) from one store at once.

You will be redirected to the checkout page.

• Enter a shipping address
Upon entering your preferred shipping address, you will be presented with available shipping options from the store you are purchasing from. If no shipping options appear, it indicates that the seller does not offer shipping to your location.

In such cases, you can reach out to the seller via private message or contact us directly using the Bell icon in the lower right corner to explore possible arrangements.

Please be aware that On Demand invoices include shipping costs in the total price.

• Choose a payment method
Select your payment method for this order: directly with USDC Stablecoins, or using regular cryptocurrencies via our third-party cryptocurrency converters.
Please note that incoming crypto payments will be converted to USDC stablecoins for a small fee, which will be detailed on the third-party's payment page.

Be aware that while the USDC option is always available, we occasionally need to update or temporarily suspend our third-party conversion services. This may result in these options being unavailable for a short period.

2 - Sending your coins

Please note that you do not need to sign up for any of our third-party payment providers.

Louvois Francs (LVF) power the De Louvois ecosystem and unite our community members around a common purpose. LVF, an Ethereum ERC-20 token, serves as the native cryptocurrency of De Louvois.

When you purchase an eligible item, you earn Louvois Francs as cashback rewards.
You can view which items are eligible and the number of coins you'll earn for each item listed below its price. Additionally, you can preview your earnings during the checkout process.
Once you complete a purchase (meaning you've paid, received the item, marked it as received, and the seller closes the sale), you'll receive a notification confirming the arrival of your coins in your wallet.
